Award ceremony for CITY CYCLING 2026

The most successful municipalities and newcomers in the 2026 CITY CYCLING campaign will be honoured on 25 November 2026. The City of Erfurt, the Thuringian Ministry for Digital Affairs and Infrastructure and Climate Alliance Services are organising a face-to-face event in the Kaisersaal Erfurt.

Climate Alliance Services will confer prizes to the top municipalities in each of the five population groups in the following categories:

1. Most active local parliaments (kilometres per parliamentarian in proportion to the total participating parliamentarians)
2. Municipalities with the most kilometres cycled (total kilometres). In this category, the best newcomer in each population group will also be honoured.#

Climate Alliance Services will additionally acknowledge the municipalities where the CITY CYCLING campaign, RADar! initiative or BIKE MONITOR was particularly successful with the Golden Spoke award. See here for more information: Golden Spoke
